High Consequence Decision Making (HCD) is a management program whose goal is to minimise the risk of catastrophic error. It is designed for navigating through complex situations where decisions have to be made which once taken are irreversible. Initially developed for the military, it can be applied in any context where the stakes are high and failure is not an option.
The image above is taken from a presentation that provides a brief introduction to HCD, its intent, and how it tackles the issue. For a copy of the full slideshow contact Avoiding Catastrophe - editor@avoidingcatastrophe.com
